Citroen Saxo VTS 1.6 litre 16v 3 door hatchback           Photos below.

Date of registration: 9th September 1999 (V plate)

MOT:   June 14th 2012 or with a new MOT at the asking price

For those of you (like me) who did not know the difference between the the VTR and the VTS, here are the main differences:

·                    The VTR MK1 (1997–1999) featured a 1.6I 8V 66 kW (90PS/89BHP) engine with a top speed of 187 km/h (116 mph) and a 0-62.5 mph (0–100 km/h) time of 10.0 seconds.

·                    The VTS 16V featured a 1.6I 88 kW (120PS/118BHP) engine with a top speed of 205 km/h (127 mph), and a 0-60 mph time of 7.8 seconds.

Those extra valves make all the difference!  The VTR  was the best equipped, with rear disc brakes as opposed to drum brakes and ABS as standard.

This car is huge fun to drive and is extremely rapid.  It has covered just 82,000 miles from new.  It has little in the way of  service history however it does have all the old MOTs to verify the mileage.

It looks good in a wine red metallic which really suits these cars.  It has a debadged mesh front grille but the standard one is also included.  The rest of the car is pretty standard although it does have an induction kit fitted to help the engine breath more easily!  The upholstery is pretty much perfect as is the rest of the interior.   There are a few minor marks around the bodywork but nothing major.   Inside there is a good amount of room for such a small car with plenty of room for me to sit comfortably in the driver's seat and then, without adjusting the seat, get in the back and sit immediately behind - and I'm 6' 2".  And the boot is a good size too.

The car is equipped with power steering and a good CD stereo, electric windows, central locking two front airbags, seat belt pretensioners etc.

As with all our cars, a full inspection is welcomed.
