This superb camper is powered by
the Renault Diesel engine which is not only reliable but economical too.
The basic van is pretty much unmolested and in superb condition especially on the inside. On the outside there has been a little rust around the edges of the windows but otherwise it is very sound. The engine and gearbox are as good as gold but the steering is unassisted and quite heavy at standstill. All the tyres are good and the whole vehicle drives very well.
The seats and bedding are all in excellent condition and the drivers seat is hardly worn at all - see picture below.
There is little in the way of
history. The mileage is completely unknown because the mileometer tells me I
have travelled 200,000 miles in the last 50 miles I have done! This means that it is doing 100,000 mpg!
Suffice to say the engine starts straight away and runs superbly. At the listed price it is supplied as seen with no MOT and with various cosmetic faults. Briefly – one of the rear bumper corners is broken – this is a plastic unit which bolts straight in place. The mounts are not damaged at all. The drivers window regulator needs replacing. The drivers seat is missing the handle to slide it back and forth but it can be done with a screwdriver! The blower temperature control does not work. Please ask, if you want to know more. All sorted and tidied up and with a new MOT the price will be £2990. That is not to say it will cost that much to sort!
