For years, the Ka has been one of Britain’s top
selling small cars, with a reputation for reliability, economy, style and
safety. They are also remarkably
comfortable – even for me, and I'm 6' 2"!
The old Ka is now looking very dated and the old 1.3
litre pushrod engines, positively archaic.
But the new Ka, now fitted with the superb 1.25 litre
16 valve Zetec engines which is outstanding both in terms of power and fuel
efficiency, is bang up to date.
This one has had just one mature lady owner from new
who was only replacing it because she needed a five door. It comes with Full Service History with 4
service stamps at 13, 24, 29, and 36 thousand miles. The tyres are all in
excellent condition.
It is finished in a silver metallic and is near
immaculate throughout (see pictures to follow). There are one or two
tiny marks to the paintwork – but you’ll struggle to see them. There are also some scuffs to a couple of the
alloy wheels – but not too bad – all pictured below. The interior, trimmed in a smart grey cloth,
is impeccable. The car is well specified
with air conditioning, remote central locking, electric front windows, an
excellent stereo CD with AUX input etc. and everything works precisely as it
should.
The 1.25 litre engine with 16 valves has to be one of
the best small engines around. It is uncannily smooth and it will propel
the car quite happily up to and beyond 100 mph – though I haven't tried it,
officer! It is also extremely quick on acceleration compared to other
engines of a similar size. In terms of
power, fuel efficiency and refinement it is one of the best around.
The car drives without fault.
