This Limited Edition version of the 900SS has recently become one of the
most sought after bikes around and is fast appreciating in value. This one is all original except for the
The rear suspension unit has also been replaced with an excellent WP
unit. The bike has done just 17,000
miles and has full service history (three stamps) recent services have been
done at Three Legged Cross Motorcycles one of the leading importers of Ducatis in the south of England. It has recently been serviced again and had
new timing belts. The rear tyre is like
new and the front tyre is less than half way to the limit.
The bike is not quite immaculate.
There is a little cracking to the gel coat around the seat mounts and
the central fairing support a common problem.
The wheels have been painted yellow to match the rest of the bike. While I think it looks good, it is not the
original colour which should match the frame.
The rest is all original including the black carbon fibre mudguards and clutch cover. There are a few very light scratches and
stone chips on the fairing which will all but disappear with a light touch
up.
There is a slight crack to the headlight lens but inside it is all dry.
There is a slight imperfection on the surface of the carbon fibre
on top of the front mudguard. I comes with the relevant Haynes Workshop Manual.
